From NJ to Charlotte

As New Jersey natives, we’ve been going “down the shore” annually for the past 21 years. It’s our little slice of heaven. So we couldn’t resist our kids’ pleas to visit Wildwood Crest  during our last summer in our home state. Always, our final stop before heading home is The Sunset Beach Grill in Cape May. Zac insists on putting their “Sunset Sauce” on everything he orders. We ordered some to-go, hoping to savor it in our new state. It didn’t make it beyond our plastic table overlooking the beach!

My family is always on a food and fun mission, especially as we explore our new surroundings near Charlotte, NC. We seek places that serve up fresh, authentic foods. We scout spots that add unique memories to our day. We connect with people to explore inspiring ideas. It’s not easy satisfying a brood of four discerning kids and their parents. But as we experience new places and faces, we are finding our own little “slice of heaven” right here in Charlotte.

Exploring a fountain at our new favorite pizza spot.

Stay tuned as we record and rate our adventures (above: the boys explore a fountain outside Hawthorne’s our new fav pizza place)–and feel free to recommend a café, excursion, must-do or anything else you’ve stumbled upon in the Charlotte area.
